Amarantina is said to be privileged to have been born in the "Vale Encantado de Amadeo" next to Casa de Manhufe, where the painter Amadeo de Souza-Cardoso was born, belonging to the first generation of modernist Portuguese painters. Here she grew up around his stories and colors.
Since she was a child she had a vocation for drawing and painting. Throughout her student life, she participated in artistic projects at school and in the community, always getting involved in theater with painting, exhibitions and visual arts.
Graduated in Social Work, because she always wanted to work for the community, currently works in the area of projects and entrepreneurship, but the taste for painting never left her.
Today married and with a small child, since she was a mother, the painting has been put aside. But now with her older son, she realized that the child also liked to paint, so she picked up the brushes again and even paint together!
