As a dancer, Ângelo Cid Neto joined the Amalgama Dance Company and participated in several pieces between 2001-2003. He participated also in works of Willi Dorner, Marina Frangioia, Tiago Guedes, João Fernandes, Madalena Xavier, Francisco Pedro and Catarina Morla among others. He has worked as a performer and co-creator at several European festivals such as Venice Biennial, Materiais Diversos, Metadança, Resolution! and Wbmotion. Works with Paula Pinto in Compota project. Member of SAP Lab (Science Art and Philosophy), a research group at the Center for Philosophy of Science of the University of Lisbon.
Ângelo holds a degree in Biochemistry and Dance. Master in Performing Arts and Dance Teaching. Parallel to the experience as a performer and creator, has experience in the field of teaching contemporary dance technique, choreographic creation and creative expression in Lisbon. Develops workshops in the area of improvisation and composition. Currently he is a PhD Student in the area of Artistic Education.
