European Funding in the Cultural and Creative Sector

Évora

Auditório do Colégio do Espírito Santo

23 June 2021, 2:30pm

The event aims to provide motivation, knowledge and the ability to detect funding opportunities for artistic and cultural projects.

In a first moment, it intends to present in a synthetic way the global panorama of the community programmes available to Portugal that can potentially finance projects in the arts and culture field, making a distinction between what are the programmes under the subsidiarity regime, this is what was/is Portugal 2020, what will be the new Portugal 2030, which Operational Programmes? how does the regional organisation work?  What is the role of the Intermunicipal Communities, how are they articulated with the new Recovery and Resilience Plan and the programmes in direct regime with the European Commission, whose management is direct between the beneficiary and the European Commission. (What are the differences with Portugal 2020? Which are the most relevant for arts and culture?).

In a second moment of the meeting, it is intended to present to the participants "champion" projects in the arts and culture sector in the hope of inspiring and giving an understanding of how other institutions have accessed community funding, encouraging dialogue and the exchange of experiences.
