Concert by Ehud Ettun Trio
26 June 2020, 9:00pm
The Deep in the mountains project was born in the mountains of PeyongChang in South Korea, where Ehud Ettun participated in an artist residency as part of the olympic events of winter 2018. During this time, musicians, dancers and visual artists from all around the world spent 40 days in the mountains of PeyongChang.
The inspiration was enormous, and during this time Ettun started writing and arranging new music, influenced by music from Korea, Mongolia, Argentina, Poland and the United States. The result is a new exciting trio concert (and soon an album), which includes new music alongside new and special arrangements to songs from around the world. From the Korean Arirang, to the classic american song “Some Other Time” by Leonard Bernstein.
